LION’s GATE
Our wedding will take place on August 8th, during what is known as the “Lion’s Gate” — a cosmic alignment when the Sun in Leo, the star Sirius, and Orion’s Belt rise into perfect alignment with the Earth. This phenomenon has been honored across cultures for thousands of years as a time of transformation, clarity, and new beginnings.
In ancient Egypt, the rising of Sirius marked the flooding of the Nile, a season of abundance and renewal, and the pyramids at Giza were built in alignment with Orion’s Belt to reflect this celestial event.
Across traditions, the Lion’s Gate has symbolized a portal of heightened energy and spiritual connection, making it a sacred time for unions of the heart. For us, marrying under the Lion’s Gate is both a celebration and blessing of our love, and a way to honor this timeless cosmic alignment that has inspired devotion and renewal for centuries.
